PRO INVENT 2023
The International Exhibition of Research, Innovations and Inventions will take place between
25 - 27 October 2023, UTCN Building, 103 - 105 Muncii Blvd.
The International Exhibition of Research, Innovations and Inventions PRO INVENT in Cluj-Napoca is a distinguished meeting place of inventors and inventions with business people and entrepreneurs interested in putting the results of research, innovation, and human creativity into practice.
The PRO INVENT Exhibition started in the spring of 2002 at the Expo Transilvania Complex in Cluj-Napoca, at the Foresta International Fair. Since 2004, the next four editions of the Exhibition have been organized at the International Technical Fair, also at Expo Transilvania.
In 2008 the PRO INVENT Exhibition was registered as a trademark at the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM), having the certificate number 100,000, the certificate holder being the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
Starting with 2014, for three consecutive editions, the PRO INVENT Exhibition was organized within the educational complex belonging to the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca located on 103-105 Muncii Boulevard. Between 2018 and 2022, the Exhibition was organized at the BT Arena Multipurpose Hall, with two years online (2020 and 2021). The past 20 editions of the Exhibition brought to the attention of the public inventions from almost all fields of activity.
With themes covering materials, processes and innovative products in fields like energy, environment, health, agriculture, resources, etc., the 21st edition will bring together universities, research institutes, centres and stations, companies, inventors' associations, natural persons from Romania and abroad.
A particular section in the Exhibition comprises the works of students or students' groups affiliated with our university's innovation and research structures, which a jury will evaluate.
The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca is one of the first higher education institutions in Europe to organize an exhibition of invention.
The research topics developed by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca cover the fields of engineering, science and humanities. Institutionally, it is supported the research aligned with the priority directions included in the national and international research-development-innovation strategies.
Within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, 80 accredited research structures are active. The new national research strategy aims to create self-sustaining interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary structures capable of real scientific performance.
